Any Publicity is Good Publicity

Karma! Must be. I just get finished writing a negative review of one service, and get a negative review written on my service.

Thats fine. I think the reviewer got things wrong and I mentioned that much in my comments to the post.

Please take a look… Continue

Why can’t I see what other sellers are looking for?

Still confused. You are not alone. Domuswap is different than the average classified ad/listing site.

See this new Wiki entry for some explanation.

JustListed.com - Not what I Expected

You may have heard about JustListed.com. Maybe you saw their TV spot (I did).

When I saw their TV ad, I thought; Great service. Bad timing.

The ad implied, to me anyway, that JustListed.com was an online web site that would provide notification of new listings added to the MLS. As I software developer, this seemed like a great idea. The way I would design the service would have the user register, provide an… Continue

150 Listings - Thanks!

Thank you to everyone who has listed on Domuswap so far. It is not easy to gain momentum for a new idea, but this is a nice milestone to have acheived.

We are now hitting a point where the number of matches, connections, and inquiries are really starting to take off. I can see this as a larger percentage of site traffic is originated from email messages, meaning from responses to swap inquiries.

As the number of listings grow even further, we can close some deals from some… Continue

Domuswap is absolutely free, for anyone still confused

Actually, the fault is probably mine. I am surprised nobody pointed this out sooner. We can thank the inherent ambiguity and context sensitivity of the English language.

I am referring to the "star graphic" on the home page. This is the bluish graphic that says, in bold white, "Free".

Well up until today, this said

List it for - Free -Until it's sold

So does this mean you can list it until its sold and then there is no fee or is the listing free up… Continue

“But there are no listings in my state”

Domuswap is just starting out, but gaining momemtum daily. We don't have listings in all states yet, and only have a hand full in some. "Why should I bother listing" if there are no properties in the state I am looking for.

By listing, you solicit others to list their properties as well. When you list and specify your swap critieria, casual browsers of the site can see that Domuswap traders are looking for property in that state (see… Continue

Please send in any success stories

Hi All,

Traffic on the site is way up. We are getting lots of hits. So your listings are getting seen. Inquiries are being made as well. This is the whole point of the site, to sell houses. Hopefully, the number of listings (and possible trades) will follow the number of hits we are getting.

If you've sold anything using Domuswap or have had positive inquiries, please let me know.

You can send an email to domuswap@infoblazer.com or just post to the… Continue

Help us get the word out and make your house the featured listing

The more traders we have, the more trades we can match. The more successful Domuswap becomes and the better trading experience for our users.

With that said, I need some help advertising Domuswap.

Please post links to Domuswap on your home page or Real Estate listings. If you have a Blog, please write about Domuswap. If you regularly use other blogs, please mention it there.

We are actively advertising the service as well, but to get that "snowball" effect, we… Continue

Why Domuswap is for everyone

I promised a follow up to the previous blog entry, "Why Domuswap works". Here it is.

The slogan for domuswap is "Simply Trade Places". What slogan you ask? Actually it is on the home page, all the way down at the bottom right, so no one will ever notice it.

Jokes aside, Domuswap makes it easy to "simply trade places". Here is why.

If you need to sell your house right now, maybe you are moving or need to downsize, Domuswap can be used as a supplement to other… Continue
