Hi Everone,
I have a Beautiful 3 bedroom Detached house in the countryside in Sunny S.W France that is in the Lot et Garonne department close to Dordogne. I would like to swap - preferably for one in the UK or Netherlands, Belgium, Germany or will consider other areas.
My house is from the 60's and has a sous-sol (a ground floor area that can be used to make additional space for the house - rather like a Basement but on the ground floor). There is a Kitchen, Lounge, 3 bedrooms, balcony, Bathroom and seperate toilet.
We have had brand new Electrics and brand new Heating installed.
There is 2000 meter squared garden and on the side of our house we have a generous sized Veggie plot. To the front of the house we have mature roses growing and there is room to park a couple of cars on our private driveway which is enclosed by a fence and a gate. The outside of the house has wooden shutters.
We really are in the perfect location - the Countyside but not complete isolation because 5 minutes walk away there are shops including a Supermarket, English-speaking Chemist, Hairdressers, Beauty Salon, Garage and D.I.Y shop.
We are 30 minutes drive away from the Airport of Bergerac which flys regularly to the UK, Netherlands and Belgium with lo-cost flights.
Also, 10 minutes walk away there is a larger popular Bastide town with more shops, restaurants, cafes and amenities including an outdoor public swimming pool.
There is another popular Bastide town named Eymet which is popular with British and Dutch ex-pats and this is 10 minutes drive away by car. At Eymet again there are many facilities, Supermarkets, Restaurants, Cafes and English speaking Doctors.
I am hoping to sell my house or if not then swap my house in France for a house, apartment, bungalow etc in the UK, Netherlands, Belgium or would consider other areas.
The price of my house is 128000 Euros, £118.000 Sterling Pounds or approx $166,000 USD.

which region are you in? isitPerigord? if you are interested in an income property (a large 3bed with bonus room plus a 1bed rental commands 1550/month, and 4000/month in summer for weekenders from New York City) this is a renovated with granite kitchen lovely colonial antique in historic New Canaan, Ct, just 40 min. from Grand Central, with easy commuter express trains to New York City at all hours. Located just a short walk from the train terminus, and right at restaurant row with all the fancy restaurants and elegant shops of New Canaan. Great senior amenities and clubs, too, and just a 15 min. drive to the CT shoreline beaches.
